The Portico Tea Room
A small room off the courtyard, two dozen seats, and a short list of single-garden teas brewed by the pot. We open in the autumn; the waitlist gets the first table bookings, a quiet preview the week before, and nothing else in the inbox until then.
The tea list
- Darjeeling first flush — bright and floral, the spring pots
- Uji sencha — steamed green, poured slightly cool
- Alishan oolong — creamy, high-mountain, many steeps
- Yunnan gold — malty black, the house pot
- Chamomile & lemon balm — the caffeine-free pot
