Restaurante · Lisboa
Bazaar.
Small, loud, and Mediterranean. Open six nights a week, run by the same family since 1979.
Thirty-six seats, a changing market menu, late tables, and the orange door two blocks from the river.
Tonight: grilled bream · citrus salad · house red by the glass

Market plates · grilled fish · late tables

A short history of the orange door
Bazaar opened in 1979 in a one-room kitchen above a fishmonger on Rua das Flores. The orange door is the same door it has always been; the recipes are mostly the same; the family has gotten bigger. We seat thirty-six people on a good night — twelve at the bar, twenty-four in the room. We do not take reservations for more than six.
